Politics and public responsibility in Israel and Romania - A Comparative perspective

During April 28th and 29th 2014, the Center for Israeli Studies has organized the international conference “Politics and public responsibility in Israel and Romania - A comparative perspective”. This was set up in cooperation with Beit Berl College( Israel) and Faculty of Public Administration( SNSPA).

The conference has discussed about political accountability within the limits and requirements of a democratic state, with an emphasis on good governance through different levels of analysis, currently a highly relevant topic both for Israel and Romania. The papers presented have covered all levels of research, theoretical and methodological.

Among the participants in the conference have been Dan Korn, former Israeli MP and Head of the Public Administration and Policy Department at the School of Government and Social Policy, Beit Berl College; Ori Arbel-Ganz, Dean of the Faculty of Society and Culture, Beit Berl College; Asaf Matzkin, Associate Professor, Beit Berl College; Diana Camelia Iancu, Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Public Administration, SNSPA; Victor Alistar, Associate Professor, SNSPA; Liliana Popescu, Associate Professor and Vice-Rector, SNSPA and Liviu Rotman, Professor and Director of the Center for Israeli Studies, SNSPA.
